Honor Play 20C Arrives in Pakistan With 2.01-Inch Rear Touch Display and 6000mAh Battery for Rs. 34,500

Honor has started selling the Play 20C in Pakistan, bringing a budget phone that carries a functional screen on its back. The device was listed on Honor’s global website on October 6, 2026 and showed up in Nigerian retail at NGN 149,900 before reaching local shelves here in Pakistan.

According to a reports the rear panel holds a 2.01-inch IPS LCD with touch input, 240 x 296 pixels, sitting next to the single camera module. The screen supports interactive widgets, custom clocks and wallpapers, notification previews and call alerts, and it works as a viewfinder for selfies taken with the main camera.

The Play 20C uses a flat frame with a plastic back and plastic sides. It measures 168.3 x 78.5 x 8.7 mm and weighs around 214 g. The weight reflects the battery inside. Honor offers Forest Green, Sunrise Gold and Midnight Black. Sunrise Gold is new for this model compared to the Honor X5d S, which shares the same chassis.

The front is dominated by a 6.78-inch TFT LCD with a punch-hole for the selfie camera. Resolution is listed as 720 x 1576 pixels with 600 nits typical brightness and a refresh rate up to 90Hz on most variants. Some listings mention up to 120Hz, with the official spec noting that the actual rate can vary by app. Aluminosilicate glass covers the main panel. The phone is rated IP52 for dust and light splash resistance and uses a side-mounted fingerprint sensor integrated into the power key.

That rear screen is the rare element in this price band. It is a full touch panel, not a static strip. Users can frame rear-camera selfies, control music playback and check time without flipping the phone.

Honor Play 20C performance and software

Most variants run on Unisoc T610, an octa-core 12nm chip with 2x Cortex-A75 at 1.8GHz plus 6x Cortex-A55 at 1.8GHz and Mali-G52 MP2 graphics. The 4GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration uses Unisoc T615 with 2x Cortex-A75 at 1.8GHz plus 6x Cortex-A55 at 1.6GHz and Mali-G57. That split matches the Honor X5d S, of which the Play 20C is effectively the global version.

Memory options are 3GB/32GB, 4GB/64GB and 4GB/128GB, with a dedicated microSDXC slot that supports expansion up to 1TB. The software is Android 16 Go Edition, a lighter build intended for entry hardware. RAM is LPDDR4X on the 4GB/64GB unit that arrived in Pakistan. Connectivity includes dual Nano-SIM with 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 5, Wi-Fi Direct and hotspot, Bluetooth 5.0 with A2DP LE, USB Type-C 2.0 with OTG, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Positioning uses GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou and Galileo.

Camera hardware is simple. Rear is a single 13MP unit with f/2.2 autofocus, LED flash, 4x digital zoom and 1080p video at 30fps. Front is a 5MP fixed-focus f/2.0 shooter with 1080p video. The rear touch display helps close the quality gap between the two by letting users shoot selfies with the 13MP sensor.

Honor Play 20C battery and charging

Honor gave the Play 20C a 6000mAh Li-Po battery with a rated capacity of 5850mAh and 15W wired charging. That capacity places it above most phones under Rs. 40,000 in Pakistan. Charging is modest at 15W through USB Type-C, so full refills take longer than phones with faster charging. Sensors include accelerometer, proximity, compass and ambient light, plus face recognition.

According to WhatMobile’s hands-on note, the phone is “pretty thick too, at 8.6 mm, and the weight is 210g, which is understandable given the large battery inside.” The publication also flagged the entry-tier chip and the use of Android 16 Go to keep the system smooth on 4GB RAM.

Honor Play 20C price in Pakistan and availability

Local listings went live in the first week of October 2026 and they lists the launch date in Pakistan as October 1, 2026 for the 4GB/64GB trim at Rs. 34,499 and shows the status as available in Karachi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Rawalpindi, Islamabad and other cities.

The current price is Rs. 34,500 for the same trim on October 19, 2026. YouTube creators in Pakistan have already posted unboxing coverage under titles like “35 Hazar Main Dual Display” and “Top paisa wasool phone under 40k”, pointing to retail placement in the Rs. 35,000 bracket.

Global pricing sits around the 4GB/64GB version at around $113, while the Nigerian listing at NGN 149,900, about $113 for the same configuration. Honor has not yet detailed pricing for the 3GB/32GB and 4GB/128GB variants in Pakistan.

The Play 20C arrives in a segment where Tecno, Infinix and Realme compete on battery size and refresh rate, but no other phone under Rs. 35,000 in Pakistan offers a touch-enabled rear display that can run as a second viewfinder and notification panel.
