Vivo has officially expanded its smartphone lineup in Pakistan with the launch of the Vivo Y500. The device targets consumers seeking long battery life and durable build quality. Its primary selling point is an 8,100mAh BlueVolt battery, one of the largest capacities introduced in a mainstream phone in the local market. The phone couples this large cell with an AMOLED display and high-tier ingress protection ratings.
The device features a 6.83-inch display that the company calls an Infinity AMOLED screen. It provides a 1.5K resolution of 2800 by 1260 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a local peak brightness of 5,000 nits.
According to Vivo Pakistan’s official product specifications, the front panel carries an SGS Five-Star Sunlight-Readable certification. The design features a fluid satin texture on the back cover with a metallic-finish frame.
Vivo states that “The finish shifts subtly with light, bringing a calm, immersive feel to every glance and every touch.”
Performance relies on the Unisoc T7300 processor, an eight-core platform manufactured on a 6-nanometer process node. The internal setup includes 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and options for either 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The system permits an extra 8GB of virtual RAM expansion, but physical storage expansion via a microSD card slot is not supported.
For software, the phone runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. Cellular connectivity remains limited to 4G LTE bands, as 5G network support is absent from this model.
The camera assembly includes a 50-megapixel Sony IMX852 main sensor paired with a 2-megapixel bokeh camera on the back panel. A 32-megapixel wide-angle camera is positioned on the front for selfies and video calls. The physical build secures IP68 and IP69 ratings, making the device resistant to dust, deep water immersion, and high-pressure water sprays.
Vivo highlights that this protection allows for dedicated underwater photography.
The 8,100mAh battery supports 44W wired fast charging, and the company notes that this “massive 8100 mAh battery fits into a slim and comfortable design, delivering dependable all-day power with less charging and more freedom to enjoy what you love.” It also includes a reverse charging feature to power other electronics.
