PTCL said on April 17 that it has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Indus Cloud, part of the Master Group, to introduce cloud services powered by Huawei Cloud in Pakistan. The agreement was signed by Asif Ahmad, chief business solutions officer at PTCL & Ufone 5G, and Rumman Arshad Dar, chief investment and information officer at Indus Cloud Limited, with Muhammad Sharukh Malik and Syeda Amina Ahmed also present at the ceremony.
The companies said the arrangement is designed to combine PTCL’s nationwide infrastructure and enterprise reach with Indus Cloud’s platform capabilities, with the service pitch aimed at enterprise and government customers. Ahmad said the need for “secure, scalable and locally hosted cloud infrastructure has become mission-critical,” while Dar said PTCL’s “nationwide reach provides a strong foundation” for extending Huawei Cloud Stack capabilities.
The public announcement did not disclose rollout timing, commercial terms, contract value or technical deployment details. That leaves the exact shape of the offering unclear, including whether customers will get a private cloud, a hybrid setup or a managed service built around Huawei Cloud Stack.
Huawei describes Cloud Stack as cloud infrastructure deployed on the premises of government and enterprise customers, which keeps cloud services inside customer-controlled environments. PTCL has already worked with Huawei on other enterprise products, including the Smart Cloud Campus launch in 2021 and the AirPON deployment in 2022, while Master Group said in August 2025 that Indus Cloud and Huawei were building a next-generation cloud data center in Pakistan. Data Center Dynamics later reported that the project would use Huawei PowerPod 3.0 and the Xinghe Intelligent Ultra-Resilient Data Center Network.
The new deal extends PTCL’s enterprise cloud push and gives Huawei another route into Pakistan’s local infrastructure market through a partnership framed around in-country hosting, compliance and support. PTCL’s earlier press materials show cloud infrastructure services have been part of its enterprise portfolio for some time, and this agreement adds another layer to that effort at a time when local data hosting remains a central selling point for banks, public-sector buyers and large enterprises.
