Redmi has launched the K Pad 2 in China, pushing its compact tablet line into flagship territory with an 8.8-inch 3K panel, MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 and a 9,100mAh battery.
In an official community post, Xiaomi said, “Xiaomi officially announced the release of the REDMI K Pad 2 tablet this month: 9100mAh battery, Dimensity 9500 processor.”
Redmi’s teaser language also called the tablet a “performance flagship,” which points to a clear gaming and high-end media pitch rather than a mainstream office-tablet position.

Xiaomi’s Chinese store lists the K Pad 2 from 3,399 yuan, and a launch report from PhoneBunch says the base 8GB/256GB variant carries a 3,599 yuan sticker price with a 200 yuan promotional discount through April 28, which brings it down to 3,399 yuan.
The same report says the tablet is sold in black, purple and silver, with 12GB/256GB and 16GB/512GB versions priced at 3,999 yuan and 4,999 yuan. Xiaomi’s store page shows the device is available in China now, with no official international rollout announced yet.

Redmi’s hardware sheet puts the K Pad 2 in the small-tablet sweet spot that has become more competitive this year.
A report says that an 8.8-inch 3K LCD with up to 165Hz refresh rate, 1,100 nits peak brightness, 540Hz multi-finger touch sampling, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and Android 16-based HyperOS 3.
The same report says the tablet is offered with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, plus a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera.
Battery and charging remain central to the launch. PhoneBunch says the K Pad 2 uses a 9,100mAh cell with 67W fast charging, 22.5W wired reverse charging, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 and two USB-C ports.
It also lists a 15,300mm² aluminum alloy liquid-cooled vapor chamber and dual speakers tuned with Sound by Bose, which gives the tablet a stronger multimedia angle than many compact rivals in the same size class.
The K Pad 2 now sits among Redmi’s most aggressive China-only tablet launches, built around a flagship chipset, high-refresh display and large battery in a form factor that stays far smaller than the company’s mainstream slate lineup.
For now, Xiaomi’s own store keeps the device tied to the Chinese market, and the company has not said whether the K Pad 2 will reach Pakistan or other regions under the Redmi or Xiaomi branding.
